Due to Poser 8 being stubborn, this is a Poser 6 render. I put the image together in P8, but (as I wrote in my latest journal entry) the damn program just refused to work. Frustrated, I reinstalled P6 and... by some sheer miracle the good old P6 managed to read and load the P8 save file properly - and here is the result.

Time: several hours plus postwork time
Tools: Poser 8 --> Poser 6 --> PS CS3

The image features the delicious Elle by *cymbidium56, character available at Renderosity here: [link] .

"You! I heard you were dead,"she said in a surprised and unfriendly voice. "No dear and when I left 3 months ago you were still dancing in the tavern. Gone upscale, eh." She went for me with the knife. After months of bloody war, I was not gentle, twisted it out of her grasp and threw her across the table. She gasped, "I am Lord Elwin's mistress, he'll kill you." I ripped the leather top from her body enjoying the sight of lay underneath. "If you mean the fellow with the scented hair, the dogs are now licking his blood." I tore off the piece of leather that covered her loins. "I've had a miserable winter. Demonstrate the talent that was always better than your dancing," and I lay on her. I could see her pretty eyes calculating, then she threw her arms around me and before she pressed her lips to mine, whispered, "Did you bring back a lot of loot?"

Looks beautiful !

Have you installed the service paks for P8?
I use P8 daily and haven't had a speck of trouble.

Well, this is a somewhat old image, so yes, I've had my issue resolved already - the servicepack and a few other tricks did help indeed. ;)

Well, it was supposed to be dark... but maybe you need to view it in a dark room to see all the details...

to be honest, I did not know I could uninstall older versions of Poser. I have always thought they had to stay on the drive.

The image looks fantastic dear! And I can see it just right, just the right balance of light and dark in my opinion. :)

Superb render, Hon!! Glad you finally got it finished, even if it did entail reinstalling P6 !! (by the way, I find my P8 scenes usually open okay in Poser Pro, thankfully 'cos I often have to resort to that when P8 screws up!! :frustrated: There is a new Service Release on the Smith Micro site - maybe this will help to cure the probs?!?!!!)

Thank you for promoting Elle for me - need all the help I can get.....  Hope she's easy to work with! :fingerscrossed: Haven't had any product reviews over at Rendo yet, so not much feedback as to whether I've done things 'right' or not ;)

:deviation:

DAMN, girl, you've done things more than right with Elle! I love her face, I really enjoyed all the make up options, too. She is very easy to work with and - as you can see - she renders beautifully, too. :glomp:

A tiny touch more light would be better for my taste, but it is incredible all the same :D

Great scene!!

I like the low lighting in the full image; but it is a little too low for some of the detail panels. (IMHO)

Very nicely done, especially considering the Poser version troubles...!!!

Hmm. It looks fine on my monitor, as far as light goes... maybe my screen is just brighter than it should be. :)

Anyway, thank you for the lovely comment, I'm really glad you like the image! :)
