I don't feel particularly sorry for him. He his wearing this complete suit of great armor, including a really cool helmet, and he let this snip of a girl defeat him. The moral is, I suppose, (if we must have a moral), is never take on a red haired warrior babe who is confident enough of her fighting prowess to get by wearing a chain mail bikini. I'm sure it excites the lads - but really. And who has a niftier sword than you do. Great fantasy stuff. Does she have a back story?

Yes, she does have a somewhat extensive backstory, but it is all only written in my head... if only I had enough time for writing. :(

Anyway, thank you for all the wonderful comments!

You've really come a long way with these renders. This (along with other works of yours as well) looks very impressive.
I'm curious as to what software you use for the end result. I do remember you mentioning Poser, but I thought that was for figures only, and I see all sorts of rendered objects here.

Thanks so much for the nice words! :)

Here the figures, their armor and the sword were rendered in Poser. The background I suppose is a render of some sort as well, though I got it in a package as a flat jpg image. The background, the magic effects, part of the girl's hair and most of the lighting I added in photoshop.

Ahh, right, thanks for enlightening me. :) I always like to know how people do things.

Have you considered other 3D tools? Like ZBrush, for instance? You could be taking your work yet another step further.

Oh sure, I have been thinking about it since I managed to more or less tame Poser, the only problem for me is lack of time now. ZBrush, C4D and others are wonderful tools but they are also incredibly complex (and expensive). I am hoping to give at least one of them a try in summer when I - hopefully - have some more time for myself and my hobbies. :)

More expensive than Photoshop? :D

But yes, I bet they're time consuming. I have given ZBrush a try at some point, but I had too little time to dedicate, so I pretty much abandoned the idea. Still, it's tempting (even if my furthest ambition was limited to using it as a prop for my paintings only...). It looks like a great tool.

:giggle: I got Photoshop as a gift and it is the good old PS7 so even if I had to buy it it wouldn't ruin my budget THAT much. ;)

My felguard is Shaatom. Shat for short, he doesn't like me much. This is a perfectly beautiful image of one of the darker themes of WoW; using the souls of the fallen to further defeat their goals even after death.

I managed to level my lock to 53 before my subscription ran out and I even got a felguard for a while, but... was totally disappointed with him so I respeced and got back to the good old big blue. ;)

Big Blue is positively complimentary and cuddly compared to the constant insults I suffer from my felguard. He hates me. :(

You should kick the felguard's butt and get rid of him. Affliction, FTW. You are a killing machine even if you only have the imp around.

I keep thinking that... Need to learn how to use succubus well also. May be time to respec since opportunities for tough soloing are increasingly rare. Felguard not huge help PvP or high level instances. Will think on it some more when our lvl67 Tauren fury warrior makes 70.

So this is Safiya! She's very pretty (though I always imagined her with longer hair) and her pose is magnificient. I like the way she's looking at the shard, with a sort of curiousity mixed in with a cautious reserve. The lighting on this pic is fantastic. I love how it focuses on the shard, and you can barely see the fallen foe at her feet. The contrasts of purple and green are done rather well. They seem to compliment each other, when I personally think that those colors usually clash if not handled correctly.

Great job, Tash.
